5th Grade LEGO Links team

FIRST LEGO League
Each year Miller has 1 or 2 teams of students from the 5th and 6th grade who participate in the FIRST LEGO League. The FLL is a hands-on program for ages 9 to 14 in the U.S. and Canada, that uses Challenges based on real world scientific problems to engage children in research, problem solving, and engineering. This year was "Transforming Transportation" in the "Smart Moves" Challenge.
Teams were challenged to transform the way we look at transportation. The 2009 "Smart Move" Challenge was about accessing people, places, goods, and services in the safest, most efficient way possible. Teams were asked to consider many modes of transportation beyond their daily routine and streamline their options by making smart moves!
